SGAH

The Shady Grove Hospital Roof Top Healing Garden project was a collaborative effort completed in 2010. The whole garden is a hybrid planting design, part zeroscape and part rolling meadow-like berms, and part container garden all melded together in a contemporary style. The Garden has won many awards for its cutting edge roof top construction and its unusual planting design. The latest of these awards was an Award of Merit from the Maryland/Potomac Chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Jane Leigh Luce, one of our Landscape Design Associates, was a consulting member of the design team and she specifically designed the Zen Garden area of the Healing Garden. Through the Garden is very proud to have the opportunity to now be maintaining and periodically adding to this unusual garden.
